QuickBooks Shortcuts You Might Not Know

Ask the Accountant…

Question: There are lots on ins and outs in software, and the percentage that any user knows about is likely very small. I was working with a distributor, and he pointed out a shortcut with which I was not familiar. I have shared it below.

Answer: In QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier, or Enterprise), you can highlight any field on a form such as sales order, purchase order, and invoice. When you highlight a field such as “Customer,” “Vendor,” or “Item” and click “Ctrl L,” QB will take you directly to that entry in the list. For instance, if you highlight an Item in a Purchase Order, and click “Ctrl-L,” you will be taken to that item in the Item list. It’s a quick way to maneuver. Many thanks to Benjamin Neuman of Think Click Media LLC!
